The Memory of Nations Awards 2015
The sixth-annual Memory of Nation Awards was held in the middle of November in the State Opera National Theatre, celebrating individuals from the Czech and Slovak Republics who were able to resist Nazism.
This year’s ceremony of these prestigious awards was to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, and was therefore dedicated to the oldest generation. The life stories of laureates Anne Hyndráková, Lydia Kovářová, Viktor Wellemín and Branislav Tvarožek were presented in a short film docudrama film from director Radim Špaček.
AV MEDIA again became a partner of this exceptional event and provided the technology to ensure the smooth running of the event. Artistically-shaped metal decorations we used as the projection surface to project the stories of the individual winners. Together with Czech Television, we also ensure the lighting of the whole room.
Part of the gala evening was performances by Aneta Langerová, David Koller and Tata Bojs and the Preβburger Klezmer Band. The role of moderator was provided by Martin Veselovský.
The organizers of the gala were Post Bellum, Czech Television, Czech Radio, Radio and Television of Slovakia and the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes.
