A New Generation of Summer Cinemas
The experience of the summer cinema will still have its charm in 20 years. It is possible to watch even the latest film premiers under the heavens thanks to the latest DCI technology.
Summer cinemas belong to summer like swimming, sunshine and relaxing do. AV MEDIA contributed its technology to create a summer film atmosphere under the stars. We used the technology to support summer cinemas in Brno and Děčín, where viewers could enjoy the perfect summer film experience in excellent quality.
Brno: Riviera, 21. 6. – 31. 8. 2013
The Riviera outdoor swimming pool in Brno was open to the best summer cinema technology in Moravia for practically the whole summer. This involved a state-of-the-art way of projecting onto an inflatable AirScreen measuring 12 × 6 m using the latest projection technology by a Christie projector and a Doremi server. AV MEDIA ensured the complete sound system for the summer cinema.
Děčín: Sport Grounds, 10. 7. – 28. 7. 2013, the Castle, 29. 7. – 8. 8. 2013
Even in Děčín fans of the cinema could look forward to a whole month of projections under the heavens in two locations – the Chateau in Děčín and the football stadium. The projector and the screen had to be dismantled and taken to the other site. At the stadium, the projector had to be placed in the stands where the audience sat. The unforgettable atmosphere of the cinema under the stars did not daunt even the weather. The modern technology (a Christie projector and a Doremi server) allowed us to project the latest films in flawless quality on a outdoor projection screen with a truss construction measuring 12 x 6 m.
