The aim of the current Comprehensive Programme for the Development and Support of Prague Education is also to increase students' interest in technical education. In addition, the development of fine motor skills and the strengthening of manual dexterity are important not only for apprentices, but also for future robot service staff or surgeons.
The iKAP project is based on the concept of polytechnic nests, which could gradually replace former school workshops, where hand tools will be replaced by new equipment and modern technologies. Since autumn, the polytechnic nests programme has continued in 17 Prague classrooms, teaching the basics of mechanics, robotics and mechatronics.
